The African country that will destroy the kaaba(Muslims house of God)

Image
The Kabah is believed to be the house of God where Muslims converge every year to worship.  This is the foundation laid down by the father of faith, Prophet Ibrahim (ASW).  As Muslims it is among the article of faith that we should believe in all the prophets and believing in them means we should believe in their prophecies. Among the prophecies by prophet Muhammed (SAW) was that a group of people will emerge at the end of time, these people are very strong and they will come from Africa.  They are Abyssinian (Ethiopian) men and are destined by God to destroy the Kabah. The Kaaba will be destroyed after Yajuj and Majuj(Magog and Hagog) perish from the Earth and Isa(Jesus) has died while Muslims still perform Hajj and Umrah.  The funny thing about prophecy is that even when you do everything within your power to prevent it, it will still come to pass. Remember when Pharaoh heard the prophecy that a male child will be born and this child will end his reign. He began to...

The Christianity and Islamic belief to as what will happen to man after death.(similarities and differences)

Image
Death is the termination of worldly life and the beginning of the afterlife. But the two major similar religion in the world has a different view to as a what happens to a man after death. I will like to compare the Islamic belief about life after death to that of the Christian faith. 1. Life in the grave;  -Islam believes that after death, the soul is returned to the body, and immediately after burial, a new life begins for the deceased. Two angels will appear to the deceased asking him a series of questions and someone who lives his life serving and obeying God will be protected from the torment of the grave while anyone who disobeys God's order will be punished. -Do the Christians believe in life in the grave? There is no written evidence that this life in the grave. This means that Christian believes that after death is judgment. Judgment ; Believing in an afterlife is one of the six articles of faith in Islam. The deceased is in an intermediary state, until the great resurrect...

Keep The Energy For The Future.

Image
Boundaries are set to measure the limit at which we can go.  But there are path which leads to many limitless boundaries that if we follow, we would only keep going without an insight of where we could reach.  Every day is preoccupied with a new task and all that we expect is ease. But when we come across a blockade, we get sad and tired looking for how to overcome it.  We become worried and weary to the point that it render us powerless to go even further.  But the truth is if humans have a knowledge about the future,  they will worry less about the present.  There was a woman who had been barren for 30years. In her pursuit to get a baby,  she was involved in several relationships which fail as a result of her barrenness.  So one day she met a man who preached love to her and she was glad that someone was ready to stay with her after all those years of loneliness. God in his infinite mercy answered her prayer through this man and she finally got ...

Today Is Precious

Image
Today is the day to celebrate all good things of life. Not the cars, nor houses, nor titles. But for the grace of health, satisfaction and happiness.  Today is the day to look back and cry, wipe your tears then smile. Look back to all those years you think you can't make it. You think you will fail a course,  you think you will lose your loved ones, you think you won't pay your debt, you think you won't rise from the hospital bed,  you think you won't find love,  you think the end has come.  Today is the day to remember those that hurt you and forgive them completely, remember those you've hurt and seek for forgiveness too.  Today is the day to raise a level of consciousness and begin to act right.  Today is the day to talk about your feelings to those that matter, avoiding yourself from going into depression.  Today is the day to check on people who are either close or far.  Today is the day to act right, settle disputes, make peace and stay...

Public And Private Secondary Schools; What To Know And What To Take Note.

Image
It is said that to everything in life, there are advantages and disadvantages.  This statement cannot be overemphasized. In fact let me say this statement is underrated.  Back then, attending a private secondary  school was one of the major determinant of your parent's social status. Until you graduate and find a public school lever, who speaks better and fluent English compared to you or you write the joint  admission and  matriculation board exam(JAMB)  twice or three times and find out that most of your friends who attended public school got admission before you. You won't be amazed until you even get the admission  and notice that a larger percentage of your course mate graduated from government secondary school.   In our present era, religion and politics are two major drive to our affairs both in the community level and country level at large. Vast majority  of our political leaders both present and past were schooled by the govern...

It's Your Responsibility To Take Charge.

Image
One of the things an individual could do and be happy with him or herself later in life is taking charge.  The mind is wired to run from difficulties and challenges but it is one's responsibility to train it to stay and fight back.  Responsibility is the state or fact of having a duty to deal with something or of having control over someone. So running from responsibilities ain't a way to solve problems. Though it could look like a solution but trust me it's going to be temporary.  See men who drink just to forget about their problems usually end up in bigger problems. Ranging from becoming an addict, living an irresponsible life down to committing crimes they could avoid if they were to be sane.  Taking up responsibilities doesn't mean you have to do beyond your capabilities or subduing yourself to unnecessary pressures. It only means you have to use the little ability to control any given circumstances be it good or bad.  Men who takes the responsibilities of...

Episode 3&4 The driver rushed towards Felicia,  "madam! Madam!"  "Olorun o ni je ka daran oo" (may God prevent us from calamity). He rushed her back into the car and as a wave of breeze blew over her, she came back to life. "Omo mi da" (where is my child) was the first thing she said. "Madam please relax, let me go inside and check her" the driver replied. Felicia came down from the car , rushed into the house. As she  entered through the front door, she met Tope on the floor soaked in his own blood. "Ah! Esther 'kilo se fun'" (what have you done to him?) Esther could not give an answer. She was soaked with sweat and blood, one could liken her to a cowboy who had just finish milking a cow. "Mummy please let's go to the police station" she said. "To do what? Felicia queried. " To report the case. She resolved. "Madam let me go and report the case in the police station while she take her bath"...

"We treat, God heals" the doctor said as he walks towards his office. As soon as he was done with the hospital procedure, he left for the police station to report the case. ............ Seven types of family and their influence on children. Which category is yours??

Image
In Nigeria, there are lots of families and each differs in terms of background and identity. Which one is your family and how good or bad is your family contributing to society? The daily activities in families account for the kind of behaviour being exhibited by children in the society which in turn becomes the pedal at which we ride the wheels of each community.  The seven types of the family include: 1. Formal and strict families: This kind of families are always time conscious, they train their child to be mean and in their thinking, they are better than every other family in the neighbourhood. They barely accept gifts and when they do they instruct their children not to make use of such gifts. They are well educated and less socialized. If they have tap water, they hardly leave a tap outside the building for public use and despite that, they have the time they open and lock it. And if you are in need of water you need to ask for keys on several occasions and if car...

7reasons men marry just a woman instead of many.

Image
Men and women have a different view about what polygamy is and the choice of polygamy is mostly based on the two top religions practised in Nigeria, and other factors to be discussed. According to Christianity, a man is to be married to a woman but despite this, we still see many Christian men who choose to marry more than a wife. In Islam, a man is permitted to marry more than one but less than five if he is certain he can be just among them. Despite this privilege, some Muslim men still hold on to just a single woman. Men are mostly polygamous in nature but there are certain factors preventing him from answering the call to nature. Reasons why men choose to stay with a single woman include: 1. Economic reasons: Women are naturally inexpensive but artificially expensive. The cost of taking care of a woman is enough to take care of two men. Most men marry in regards to their income and once he fears that he wouldn't be able to meet up to this demands, he settles for less....

The private university is the best in Nigeria. See why!

Image
Most parents have been trying to find a better school for their children and find it hard to determine whether or not they should put them into a private or public university. Well, there are advantages to any of the two but the main reasons the private university should be considered are: 1. Availability of study materials; We all know that most private institutions receive exorbitant school fees, and with these fees, they try to put in place all necessary materials needed for suitable learning and magnificent result. This is contrary to the case of the public university where the school needs to wait for the federal or state government before they could run the school properly. Also if the budget to the education sector is relatively low, it will definitely affect the amount of fund being received by each public institutions. 2. Building political and social stability; it is of no doubt that most rich men and women in Nigeria enrol their children to schools like this due to t...

Why most men prefer a secondary school leaver to a university graduate

Image
There has been a lot of controversy over the type of lady who would make a better wife. Some people believe marrying a lady who after secondary school get into business or apprenticeship is better compared to a lady who thrives to finish her university education. Well, society, family, religious upbringing have their own influence over the kind of woman a lady will become. But before I would go into this controversial issue I would like to remind my readers that most African countries including Nigeria, practice a patriarchal system of governing giving the husband some power over the wife. Below are the reasons why men prefer a secondary school leaver to a graduate: 1. Socialization/ civilization: School is no doubt an agent of socialization and the higher institution is believed to have grant most ladies an exposure wider than that of the secondary school. It is believed that ladies because of this socialization engage in a behavioural act which could affect their cultural valu...

5 things to consider before pursuing your masters degree.

Image
Most undergraduate students graduated from the university without having a plan on how to successfully adapt to life after school. Most of the time, once they find the system unbearable, they tend to seek asylum back into the University system. They return to school for a masters degree and continue with the struggle. However, there are things to consider before returning to university for a masters degree.  Below are the lists of things to consider before returning for a masters degree. 1. The university you want to attend: It's advisable to gather more information about the school you want to attend before applying. Many institutions nowadays spend more than the stipulated time allotted to a program and before you could graduate, there must be a lot of wasted time, resources and energy. 2. A constant stream of income: It's of no doubt that undergraduate life can be a little bit rough and harsh due to the fact that most undergraduate students depend on their parents or...
