A Cloud On The Horizon Episode2
Tope quickly rushed Esther into his car and drives horridly to the hospital.
" Doctor how is my wife?" Tope asked the doctor after coming out from the theatre. "Your wife is stable. She will be on admission for the next two weeks" the doctor said. "Thanks doctor" tope said. "We treat, God heals" the doctor said as he walks towards his office. As soon as he was done with the hospital procedure, he left for the police station to report the case.

"This life I can't kill myself oo, allow me to flex ooo... This life I can't " this was the song Victor was singing when the police van arrived his vicinity.
He had run away from his house since the incident of the gun shot and has been running from one uncompleted building to the other. To him he had killed Esther and the next thing is for him to kidnap Diana and run away to a far location where he could start his new life..
He was about to light the 5th wrap of Indian hemp when he received a heavy blow to his face.He was bundled into the van and taken to the police station. Victor was charged to court and was convicted for attempted murder.
Two weeks later, Esther was discharged. Tope employed a maid who would do everything for her, he also took time from work to spend it with his darling wife. He took her on outings on so many occasions. All he was trying to do was to overcome the post traumatic stress disorder that could result from the incident. Esther seems to be carried away and didn't want the awesome moments to end but as a business man that tope is, he had to cut short her fantasy.
"I'll be resuming work tomorrow. There are documents I have to sign so that my shippings will land safely." He said. "So when should I and my daughter expect you?" She asked. " I'll be back in two weeks time darling. I have made a cash transfer of "500k" into your account. I think that should be enough to cover your expenses through out my absence. "Awnnn darling thank you, that's why I love you" she lean towards him and kissed him not minding other couples watching.
They left the amusement park at around 7pm and by the time they reached home they were so exhausted that the only thing left to complete the day was sleep.
As Tope was about climbing the bed, his phone ranged.
"Hello capo! Why are you calling me this night? ( in a silent voice)..."Wait, won't you come for the meeting tonight?" Capo replied.. "I won't be able to come to the meeting tonight. Please cover for me should in case Boss ask of me". Tope said. " Guy, are you out of your mind? Have you forgotten how important tonight is? See, I cannot cover for you anymore, you have been away for the past 2meetings. Its either you come for the meeting or you lose your position. And if you do, you know what it means. All your wealth belongs to the members and you must kill your wife or your mother to reclaim it." He explained.
"Capo! (In a very loud voice) don't ever speak of my wife again or else the next time I see you, I will gun you down. Are you mad?" He queried.
"See, tell boss that I will reach out to him first thing tomorrow morning" he ended the call as he noticed his wife's footsteps.
Capo is the second in command in the big boys confraternity secret cult. He is in charge of silencing people who wants to expose the secret of the cult while Tope is only the secretary to the cult.
The big boys confraternity secret cult consisting of 32members each of which are within 28 to 40years of age and must have killed someone before being admitted into the cult. Tope killed his father claiming to be involved in an accident. He was made the secretary immediately, because the closer your prey to you, the higher your position. Boss Johnson killed his parents and was made the leader of the cult after the death of the former leader in a battle with the police.
"Darling who are you shouting at on the phone? I hope all is well?" Esther asked . "my dear its nothing to worry about. It was one of my employees that got me annoyed. He is always absent from work and each time you give him a sack letter he will always return with his extended family begging me to reinstate him to work" he lied.
"Darling this time, just sack him for real. So that others can learn from him" she said. Dear, its fine. I will do something about it" tope replied.

As early as 6:30 am, Tope had taken his bath and was prepared for work. He kissed his wife and bade his step daughter a fare well as he rushed out of the main building. "Darling won't you at least eat something before you leave?" No no no... Prepare anything, I'll eat when I'm back" he replied as he ran towards his car.
Tope had forgotten his phone while leaving for work. Victoria had never checked his phone before. But as the phone rang, she picked it so as to run after tope who was about leaving. Before she could reach the gate, tope had sped off.
She checked who the caller was but to her surprise it was a text message.
"Hello tope, you failed to attend three meetings consecutively. Despite knowing the last one was for wealth renewal and induction of new members to the society. You know the price, I don't need to tell you. If you don't want to be counted among those who was once rich men, bring your wife or your mother for the sacrificial atonement before the end of the week. A word is enough for the wise. Boss Johnson".
"Ayemi temi bami(My life is doomed) Ye! ye! ye !..." This was what Esther was chanting as she was moving up and down. She picked her phone to call her mum. " the number you are calling is not available at the moment, please try again later, thank you" the phone replied.
Yeeeeeeee mummy mi oooo .. She kept moving up and down crying and sweating concurrently.
"I found a love for me, darling just dive right in, follow my lead... I found a girl beautiful and sweet, and I never knew you were the someone waiting for me.... We were just kids when we fell in love.." Esther's phone rang. She nearly cursed the caller before checking the screen of her phone.
"Ha! Hello mummy its you. Mummy it has happen again ooo..." Mummy ooooo, she continued crying like a sad stammer. "What's wrong? Talk to me" Felicia replied. Mummy just send your driver to come and pick me...
"Ah, Tope nko?" Mummy leave Tope alone. If you don't want to mourn over me, just come and pick me" "OK! I will come with the driver" Felicia replied.
She ended the call and called her driver immediately.
"Oluwa magbagbe mi I want spend this money, I no want take the same step wey I take last year wey no work for me yeah, God! As I dey hustle come bless me with this money, God na your hand I dey, make you run am for me yeah..if we no get money weytin we gain ooo" this was the song that tope was listening to when suddenly remembered that he didn't go out with his phone.
He made a U-turn immediately. He was running at a speed of 140km/hr to the point that he nearly killed a motorcyclist.
As he entered into the compound. He met Esther crying. He saw his phone in her hands then, he knew she must have gone through his phone.
He was dumbfounded. They kept looking at each other for few seconds. Esther knew that she was in trouble. As she was about to run, Tope brought a pistol.
Felicia and her driver arrived at the gate they kept horning but no one was opening the gate.
She came down and entered through the small partition of the gate, as she stepped in, she heard a gun shot.
Felicia fainted!
