THE POWER OF A PHRASE

 Let me tell you a short story;
Two years ago, a  man got  married and asked his wife if he could sell all their wedding gifts to start a business. The wife was always ready to assist her husband and the husband was always humble and honest. There are days he would make a lot of profit and he would show his wife all the transactions he made and how well he did for the day.
The wife is always telling him that life is not all about business but he failed to listen. Day after day, money kept growing like grasses and people start liking them like they would do for an ice-cream seller.
Jide failed to respond and acted like nothing was wrong but luckily for dalliah, he was sick and the doctor advised him to take a leave off work. The wife was happy she cancelled all her appointments just to take care of her husband.
The husband had no relatives from childhood and the wife was an orphan. This explains why he is her all in all and she was his all in all.
A week before the marriage she was in the sitting room discussing with her friend about how they met and how they sealed the marriage.. She said; my husband to be is poor but she couldn’t end the statement before she remembered that she was cooking in the kitchen and had forgotten the soup on the fire.
On returning, she met her husband in the sitting room. She was shocked because he hasn’t informed her that he will be coming. She sat down and they all gist together.
Meanwhile Jide has been at the door 3 minutes earlier and was listening to their discussion. He thought his wife was making fun of him that he is poor so he decided to punish her. This was the reason he sold all her wedding gift and used it to rent a better apartment where he relaxed each time he is off work
It was when dalliiah was complaining about his attitude that he made all these revelations. She wept and swore that she didn’t say anything of such. She only made the statement after, her friend Hannah had asked that why will she marry him despite the fact that they her both orphans. Her reply was that I know my husband is poor but I will support him with prayers and everything I have.
. Jide heard her saying my husband is poor but before he could listen to the rest, his phone rang and couldn’t hear what the other half of the sentence was. Jide was just angry because of a phrase and was unhappy because he didn’t listen to a complete sentence
A phrase could change your life for good but a sentence could add meaning to your life.
